SAVE THE SANCTUARY
Vacaloura Sanctuary will celebrate 10 years of tireless work next year, with almost 4000 rescued animals behind it. But after more than two years of fighting to build new facilities to establish the definitive refuge, all this may come to an end.
The Environment Department will inspect us in 6 months.
The Environment Department has given us a period of 6 months to have the works ready and to be able to grant us the zoological nucleus.
The current facilities are falling apart
It is necessary to relocate the animals that are having a hard time right now because of the deplorable state of the current facilities.
Animals are suffering the consequences
In winter, above all, animals do not live in the conditions they deserve and we would like them to live in.
